About the Role
Due to continued business growth, we are seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to support our Finance Administrator in the smooth running of the company’s financial operations. This part-time role has a particular focus on payroll and credit control, and would suit an organised and trustworthy individual with strong attention to detail.
Reporting to: Finance Administrator
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with monthly payroll preparation, including calculation of overtime and bonuses
* Process monthly pension contributions via the NEST pension system
* Carry out credit control duties, including issuing statements, sending dunning letters, and making payment-progress calls
* Prepare and post supplier payments
* Perform bank account reconciliations
* Process staff expense claims
* Support month-end and year-end accounts procedures
* Undertake any other finance-related duties relevant to the role
Skills, Experience & Requirements
* Previous payroll experience with a high level of integrity and confidentiality
* Proven experience in credit control within a B2B environment
* Strong numerical skills with good working knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting practices
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role
* Experience using accounting software and Sage Line 50 Payroll
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communicator, able to work effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
