Industrious Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation within its sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a well-established business, providing technical support and maintenance services to customers across the Chester region.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance and preventative servicing of customer equipment.
* Achieve key performance targets including First Time Fix Rate, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and stock accuracy.
* Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Technical Bulletins (TBs) in line with company standards.
* Perform Planned Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) within agreed timescales.
* Provide effective technical support to customers both on-site and remotely.
* Deliver first-line IT support for integrated customer solutions.
* Work closely with customer IT teams to maintain and support networked systems and equipment.
* Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and exceptional service delivery.
* Keep customers informed of progress and estimated completion times throughout service visits.
* Liaise regularly with the Regional Field Service Manager to ensure effective service delivery across the region.
Skills & Experience Required
* Full UK driving licence.
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electronic and mechanical systems.
* Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Experience providing IT support within a customer-facing environment.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
* Network certification or networking experience would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Flexible approach with willingness to travel and support colleagues across the UK and Ireland when required.
