Location: Cranleigh, Surrey
Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week (rota basis, including alternate weekends)

Our supported living house in Cranleigh is part of St Joseph’s Specialist Trust. We support adults with a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties and language and communication challenges.
We’re looking for a caring, compassionate and resilient female Supported Living Worker to join our friendly and supportive team. The role involves supporting a female resident, and a female member of staff if therefore required to meet our staffing arrangements and maintain appropriate levels of privacy and dignity.
No previous experience is required. What matters most is your empathy, patience, positive attitude and willingness to learn. We’ll provide a comprehensive induction, specialist training and ongoing support to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to thrive in the role.
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be physically, mentally and emotionally resilient and comfortable supporting someone with a range of needs.
What you’ll be doing
As a Supported Living Worker, you’ll play an important role in helping our tenants develop their independence and enjoy everyday life.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
Supporting tenants with daily living activities such as cooking, cleaning and shopping
Supporting tenants to access the local community and take part in activities and trips
Accompanying tenants to college, appointments and other activities
Supporting tenants to enjoy their leisure time and pursue their interests
Encouraging independence and helping tenants develop confidence and life skills
Providing patient and consistent support when tenants may feel anxious, frustrated or overwhelmed.
You’ll receive full training to help you support tenants safely and effectively, including Team Teach positive behaviour training, which is fully funded and refreshed annually.
Because of our semi-rural location, a full driving licence and access to your own transport is highly desirable. You may be required to drive tenants or staff using your own vehicle, with appropriate insurance, or a company vehicle.
