Supply Heroes are seeking a motivated and experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Birmingham. This is a part-time position, working three days per week. Applicants must hold an approved Early Years qualification and be listed on the DfE Early Years Qualifications register.
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping to create a caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can flourish. Working closely with the class teacher, you will contribute to delivering high-quality learning experiences and support children’s progress across all areas of the EYFS framework.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about early years education, takes initiative, and is dedicated to positively influencing children’s early development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting children’s learning, play, and overall development within Nursery or Reception
* Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities
* Monitoring and documenting children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements
* Encouraging communication, social interaction, and independence
* Providing personal care when necessary
* Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment

* Must hold an Early Years Approved qualification on the DfE list
* Previous experience working in an EYFS setting
* A caring, patient, and nurturing nature
* Good knowledge of child development and the EYFS curriculum
