Role Overview
Pace Protection & Training Ltd is seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused Event Stewards to support our growing events operation across Kent.
As an Event Steward, you will play an important role in helping events operate safely and smoothly while providing a welcoming and professional experience for members of the public, clients and other event personnel.
This is an ad hoc position, with shifts offered according to client requirements and event schedules. It is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work within the events and security industry.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties may include:
* Welcoming and assisting members of the public on arrival.
* Providing directions and general event information.
* Supporting safe entry and exit from event venues.
* Assisting with queue and crowd management.
* Monitoring designated areas and reporting concerns to supervisors.
* Helping maintain clear access routes, entrances and emergency exits.
* Supporting the safe movement of attendees throughout the venue.
* Checking tickets, passes or accreditation where required.
* Assisting with parking, pedestrian flow and designated access areas where required.
* Identifying and reporting potential safety hazards or incidents.
* Following event-specific Assignment Instructions, risk assessments and emergency procedures.
* Escalating incidents promptly to the Event Supervisor or Management Team.
* Maintaining a professional, approachable and customer-focused manner throughout the event.
* Working effectively as part of a wider event and security team.
Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in event stewarding, customer service, hospitality, crowd management or security is desirable but not essential, as appropriate guidance and site-specific information will be provided.
SIA Licence
An SIA licence is not required for general stewarding duties where the role does not involve licensable security activities.
Event Stewards must not undertake duties requiring an SIA licence unless they personally hold the appropriate valid licence and have been specifically assigned to those duties.
