Security Estimator (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarms) – Harlow – £50,000–£55,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Security Estimator to join a well-established and growing security systems company. Due to continued expansion and increasing project demand, our client is looking to strengthen their commercial team with a knowledgeable and detail-oriented estimator.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a mix of office-based and home working, alongside a competitive salary, career progression, and ongoing training within a supportive environment.

Role & Responsibilities
*
Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for security system installations
*
Reviewing specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
*
Producing quotations for CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems
*
Liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure competitive and compliant bids
*
Sourcing and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors
*
Conducting site surveys where required to support the estimating process
*
Ensuring all estimates align with industry standards and company procedures
*
Supporting the sales and project teams throughout the tender and pre-construction stages
*
Maintaining accurate records of estimates, costs, and project details
Skills & Experience Required
*
Previous experience as a Security Estimator, Sales Engineer, or Design Engineer
*
Strong knowledge of security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms)
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Commercial awareness and strong attention to detail
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (desirable)
*
Full UK driving licence (desirable)
*
Relevant industry qualifications (desirable)
*
Positive attitude, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
