English Teacher - Supply (Long-Term & Short-Term Placements)

About the Role
Academics are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to work on a supply basis in secondary schools across Bradford, covering both long-term and short-term placements.
This role offers flexibility alongside the opportunity to secure consistent work, delivering high-quality English lessons and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Deliver pre-planned lessons for short-term cover and full schemes of work for long-term roles
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress (for long-term placements)
Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
Support students' literacy, confidence, and academic development
Work collaboratively with school staff and English departments
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
Experience teaching English in secondary schools
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
