An opportunity is available for an experienced English & Maths Tutor to provide tailored 1:1 educational support to a learner in Sefton.
This role would suit a versatile tutor who is confident working across both subjects and enjoys helping young people overcome gaps in their learning.
Responsibilities
Deliver personalised English and Maths tuition
Plan lessons according to the learner's individual ability
Identify gaps in knowledge and areas requiring additional support
Develop confidence in core literacy and numeracy skills
Make learning accessible, engaging and appropriately challenging
Monitor attainment and provide feedback on progress
Candidate Profile
Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths
Strong understanding of the relevant curriculum
Previous experience supporting young people
Ability to differentiate and adapt teaching
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience preferred
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Right to Work in the UK
Two professional references involving work with children
