Electronic Security Design Engineer – Hyperscale Data Centres

We're recruiting for an experienced Electronic Security Design Engineer to join one of Europe's leading data centre contractors, delivering some of the largest hyperscale and mission-critical projects across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in electronic security systems design who is looking to work on complex, high-value data centre developments from concept through to project delivery.
As an Electronic Security Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing electronic security designs during the pre-construction phase while providing technical support throughout construction, commissioning and handover.
Working closely with clients, consultants and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you'll ensure all security systems are fully coordinated, compliant with client standards and integrated seamlessly with the wider building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop Electronic Security design packages from concept through to construction.
* Review consultant drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
* Produce and validate detailed design documentation.
* Support bid and tender responses for new projects.
* Coordinate with ICT, MEP and CSA design teams to ensure complete system integration.
* Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on technical solutions and product selection.
* Support construction teams by resolving design queries and attending site when required.
* Manage project documentation including shop drawings, red-line drawings and as-built documentation.
* Ensure designs comply with client standards, industry regulations and best practice.
* Support commissioning, project close-out and final handover.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in ICT, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
* 5+ years' experience designing Electronic Security systems on large-scale construction projects.
* Previous experience delivering hyperscale or mission-critical data centre projects.
* Strong knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Systems and integrated security solutions.
* Experience using Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
* Strong understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced project environments
