An established M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to take the lead on a high-spec residential and care home development in North West London. The scheme includes a 121-bed care facility alongside 12 new-build apartments, with a total M&E value between £6–7 million and a programme duration of 15 months.

This is a site-based contract role requiring an immediate start. You’ll be working alongside a Mechanical-biased Project Manager and a Junior M&E Supervisor, with clear responsibilities and the backing of a well-organised team.

Key responsibilities

*

Oversee all electrical installation works on site from first fix through to testing & commissioning

*

Manage containment, small power, lighting, emergency lighting, LV distribution, fire alarm, access control, nurse call, data, and associated life safety systems

*

Coordinate with mechanical and supervisory colleagues to maintain programme and resolve interface issues

*

Manage subcontractors, labour, and materials to ensure quality, productivity, and programme targets are met

*

Enforce health & safety compliance, including inductions, RAMS, permits to work and toolbox talks

*

Review drawings, specifications and schedules; raise and track RFIs where clarification is required

*

Support testing & inspection, snagging, and handover documentation to ensure systems are delivered to specification and client standards

*

Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and installation tracking

What we’re looking for

*

Proven experience delivering electrical services on residential, care home or mixed-use projects

*

Strong site presence and leadership, confident managing electrical subcontractors and direct labour

*

Solid understanding of electrical building services and coordination with mechanical packages

*

Good communication skills and a commitment to high-quality, compliant delivery

Required certifications

SMSTS

*

CSCS card (Black or equivalent)

*

18th Edition (desirable)
