Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Manage the co-ordination and site activities of all ELEC work packages in junction with other trades.

Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Safety department, including set up, management of and closing out of file. Ensure all work activities are planned to the required level of detail, all documentation in line with company SOP’s (RAMS, SPA’s, Permits) and approved at the workface

Responsible for ensuring that safety standards and compliance with quality standards codes are met in line with company procedures.

A strong understanding of the COHE policies and to liaise with various vendors and subcontractors in relation to LOTO of their equipment and ensure SOP’s and processes are with respect to controls.

Management of Site QA in conjunction with Project Manager and team including set up, TIDP’s and project QPI’s.

Champion Quality focus on site and implement ‘Right First Time’ measures in conjunction and the Electrical Package manager and quality manager, including Management of the snagging system ensuring that weekly walkdowns and snags are being generated through the progress of the works.

Ensure all activities and site works are planned according to site production control requirements (Visilean)

Ensure production control processes are followed and implement a 2, 4 and 6 week look ahead ensuring co-ordination with other trades, ensuring that correct work sequence is followed, avoiding clashes, abortive work or incorrect install which could lead to commercial or schedule impact.

Oversee and Drive Project Schedule in conjunction with Planner, Project Managers, Sub-Contractors and consulting Engineer/Architect to Engineering and Client requirements

Management of all costs associated with Project with the support of the project QS including:
- Labour
- Material
- Plant and Equipment
- Variations
- Valuations

Management of all day to day site operations

Direct management of project team including alignment of all discipline leads to the benefit of project goals.

Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.

Management of the “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the supervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable.

Overseeing of room permits process and ensure contractors on site are compliant with requirements.

Ensure all Sub-contractor documentation including safety documentation is maintained up to date and filed for future reference.

Drive the Engineering culture of safety and quality through the project.

Provide the safety and quality leadership required on all the projects.

Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings

Issue Daily Report to the Project Manager

Issue weekly safety stats & project labour projections.

Develop and implement company procedures with the Project Managers.

Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).

Review drawings and setting out details.

Carry out distribute & close out ELEC snags.

All other duties associated with this role.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

* A trade background and 5 - 10 years previous experience in supervising large installation crews and sub-contractors.

* Proven record of supervising and managing large installation projects

* Knowledge of Health & Safety

* Experienced in design and build

* Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems

* Excellent IT skills

* Ability to work well within strict deadlines

* Ability to drive a large-scale project
