Job Title: Domiciliary Care Team Leader
Location: Southend on Sea area, Essex
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm
Are you an experienced and compassionate care professional ready to step into a leadership role?
We are recruiting a Domiciliary Care Team Leader to support the delivery of high quality, personalised care within the community across the Southend on Sea area and surrounding locations. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, understands the importance of dignity and independence, and can confidently support and guide a team of care staff.
You will work closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager to ensure safe, effective, and person centred care is delivered consistently across the service.
The Role
* Lead and support a team of Care Assistants delivering care in service users’ homes
* Assist with rota planning and coordination to maintain safe staffing levels
* Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
* Support the development and regular review of care plans and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and internal policies
* Act as a point of contact for staff, service users, and families
* Promote a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement
On Call Requirement
* You will participate in the on call rota one week per month
* On call allowance paid at £100 to £150 per month
* Any shifts worked whilst on call will be paid in addition to your salary
About You
* Experience within domiciliary or community care
* Previous Senior Carer or Team Leader experience desirable
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory requirements
* Confident supporting and motivating a team
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Level 3 in Health and Social Care desirable
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred
