Make a difference close to home. A Star Care is recruiting kind, dependable Domiciliary Care Assistants to support people in their own homes across Scarborough, particularly YO11 and YO12.

This is home-to-home domiciliary care: you will travel between service users’ homes to provide personal care and everyday support. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with morning, daytime, evening and weekend calls. Tell us the days and times you can reliably work.

PAY AND SUPPORT
• £13.00 per hour.
• 45p per mile between care calls for drivers.
• £16 weekly public-transport allowance for workers using public transport.
• Paid shadowing at £13.00 per hour and paid ongoing training.
• Rotas planned around your agreed availability, with local rounds designed to minimise gaps.
• Support from our care coach and registered manager.
• Starts as soon as satisfactory recruitment and compliance checks are complete.

YOUR ROLE
• Help with washing, dressing, toileting and continence care, respecting privacy and dignity.
• Provide medication prompting or assistance once trained and authorised.
• Prepare meals and drinks and support safe mobility.
• Follow individual care plans, maintain accurate care records and report changes in wellbeing.
• Offer reassurance, companionship and reliable support.

LOCAL TRAVEL MATTERS
You must be able to reach and travel reliably between visits in YO11 and YO12. Please tell us your current postcode and how you will travel so we can discuss practical rounds close to you. A driving licence and access to a car are desirable. Non-drivers are welcome where walking or public transport can reliably meet the visit times and route.

ABOUT YOU
You are caring, reliable and professional, with good communication skills. Previous domiciliary or care-assistant experience is desirable; we also welcome applicants with the right values who are willing to train. You must have the right to work in the UK and complete the required DBS, reference, training and recruitment checks before starting.

APPLY TODAY
Apply through CV-Library and tell us your current postcode, travel arrangements, exact available days and times, relevant care experience and earliest start date.
