About the Role
Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants to support vulnerable adults within their own homes across Calderdale and surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about person centred care and supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life within the community.
You will be supporting service users with daily living tasks, personal care, emotional wellbeing, medication support, and community based activities, ensuring care is delivered safely and in line with individual care plans.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high quality person centred care within service users’ homes
• Support with personal care including washing, dressing, grooming, and continence care
• Assist with medication administration and prompting
• Support with meal preparation and nutritional needs
• Provide companionship and emotional reassurance
• Assist with light household duties where required
• Maintain accurate daily records and documentation
• Promote independence, dignity, safeguarding, and wellbeing at all times
• Report concerns or changes in service users’ needs appropriately
• Work in line with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and company policies
Essential Requirements
• Previous care experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided
• Experience within domiciliary care, home care, residential care, supported living, or community care desirable
• Caring, professional, and dependable approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Flexible approach to shift patterns
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle preferred due to community based travel
• Enhanced DBS required
• Full right to work in the UK
