Design Technology Teacher
South Birmingham | Start ASAP | Until July 2026 | Full-Time
A well-established secondary school in South Birmingham is seeking a Design Technology Teacher for an immediate start through to July 2026.
This is a full timetable position teaching all DT strands excluding Textiles.
The Role
You will deliver Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, covering:
-Resistant Materials
-Product Design
-Graphics
-Engineering / Core DT
-No Textiles required.
You will be expected to:
-Plan and deliver structured, practical lessons
-Maintain high standards of behaviour
-Manage workshop spaces safely and effectively
-Assess and track pupil progress
The School
-Strong leadership and clear behaviour systems
-Established DT department
-Good facilities and resources
-Supportive SLT and department structure
The Ideal Candidate
-QTS or equivalent
-Confident across multiple DT disciplines
-Strong classroom and workshop management
-Available full-time until July
-ECTs and experienced teachers encouraged to apply.
