Design Assistant – Womens’ Sportswear

Working for a leading UK supplier with owned offshore manufacturing, you will work within a multi product design team to create innovative collections for major retailers.

Design Assistant – Womens’ Sportswear - Responsibilities:

* Research and identify emerging trends to inspire new designs and ranges.

* Prepare samples and packs for timely dispatch to clients.

* Organize swatch packs and ensure selections align with customer briefs.

* Update design cribs and sketches for factories and commercial teams.

* Source and order fabrics, match Pantones, and liaise with mills/factories to meet deadlines.

* Maintain accurate costings and component details.

* Brief suppliers on new fabrics and follow up for meetings.

* Counter-source fabrics and trims to achieve competitive pricing.

Design Assistant - Skills and Requirements:

* Degree or relevant qualification in fashion or sportswear design.

* 1–2 years’ experience in a similar design assistant role.

* Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO 3D experience is a plus.

* Strong product development knowledge and understanding of garment construction.

* Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.

* Experience working with offshore production and supply chains.
