An established manufacturing company based in Crawley is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Manager to support the smooth and efficient running of its warehouse operations. This role is ideal for a Senior Warehouse Operative, Team Leader, or Supervisor looking to take the next step into management within a stable and growing business.

This is a warehouse-focused position and does not involve production line work.

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring stock, logistics, and team performance meet operational requirements. You will take a hands-on leadership role while developing your management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations

*

Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff on shift

*

Manage goods in, goods out, and stock control processes

*

Ensure health & safety procedures and warehouse standards are maintained

*

Assist with stock accuracy, inventory control, and cycle counts

*

Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives

*

Step in for the Warehouse Manager when required

About You

*

Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment

*

Essential: Experience leading or supervising a team (Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar)

*

Confident communicating with staff and management

*

Organised, proactive, and hands-on in your approach

*

Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment

*

Desirable but not essential: FMCG or food manufacturing experience (non-production)
