Cyber Security Project Management experience essential

We're looking for a hands‑on Project Manager with strong Cyber Security experience to join one of the UK's leading Defence organisations on a critical programme.

This role sits at the heart of a cyber security function, supporting the transfer of resources and workloads in a high‑pressure, highly regulated environment. If you're comfortable rolling your sleeves up, influencing senior stakeholders and driving delivery, this one's for you.

What You'll Be Doing

Owning and driving end‑to‑end project delivery within a cyber security organisation
Creating, managing and delivering project plans, milestones and outcomes
Reporting progress, risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders
Supporting service delivery against KPIs, SLAs and operational targets
Driving ITIL best practice, including Service Operations, CSI and Problem Management
Ensuring data quality through asset and configuration management
Leading service reviews (DSR, WSR, MSR, Operations Reviews)
Acting as a Business Analyst, owning and managing the requirements catalogue
Working closely with Transition Managers to ensure successful delivery
Providing assurance through audits, SIPs and self‑certificationTravel to Barrow‑in‑Furness will be required

What We're Looking For

Essential

Proven Project Management experience within Cyber Security
Experience working in complex, enterprise‑scale organisations
Comfortable operating in high‑pressure, critical delivery environments
Strong background in service operations, transition or transformation projectsKey Skills

Confident, robust leadership style
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong influencing and decision‑making capability
Able to operate "hands‑on" as part of a small, delivery‑focused teamQualifications

Formal Project Management qualification preferred (PRINCE2, APM, PMP etc.)
Equivalent on‑the‑job experience fully recognised
