The Company
Freight Force Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading haulage company based in Axbridge, Bristol specialising in transportation and logistics management throughout the UK, supported by a fleet of 450+ vehicles nationwide offering full and part loads.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and hands on Customer Account Manager to join the operations team on a full time, permanent basis working between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships across multiple key accounts with the support of a structured department of existing operators, administrators and seniors.
Full training will be provided for the successful candidate from day one, over the course of 5 days.
Key Responsibilities:

Coverage of a minimum 15 loads per day, collated of all work on the system.

Daily checks to be completed AM & PM to ensure potential problems are dealt with in good time.

Build a commercial knowledge of rates that are to be paid to hauliers daily, along with what we are to charge customers.

Learn and understand your customer base to ensure all customer requirements are met.

Ensure a rapport is achieved and maintained with ALL customers & suppliers. Customer & supplier visits to be part of this exercise.

A sound geographical knowledge to ensure rates are correct.

Using recognised traffic management systems along with Microsoft outlook.
*
Confident telephone manor.
*
Good organisational skills.
*
Ability to work well within a team and under deadline pressure.
