Key Responsibilities of the Crane Engineer:
* Installation, servicing and maintenance of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
* Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
* Responding to breakdown call-outs across customer site
The Ideal Crane Engineer:
* Experience within electrical, mechanical or electromechanical engineering
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Comfortable working at height
Desirable Experience:
* Overhead crane maintenance, servicing or inspection experience
* Industrial plant or heavy engineering background
* Knowledge of:
* 3-phase 415v motors
* Squirrel cage and wound rotor motors
* Contactor and relay control circuits
* 110v and 48v control systems
* Stop/start and reset circuits
* Inverters and variable speed drive systems
