Lead specialist care. Shape service quality.

HTR Care and Recruitment is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager for an established provider supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex needs.

You will oversee a small residential care home and a nearby supported living service, building on an existing “Good” CQC rating and leading improvements towards “Outstanding”.

Essential experience

* At least two years’ experience as a CQC Registered Manager, currently or previously.

* Adult learning disabilities, autism and complex needs experience, including mental health needs and dual diagnosis.

* Relevant residential care or supported living experience. A background solely in domiciliary care is unlikely to be suitable.

* Practical experience of CQC inspections, compliance and service improvement.

* Proven ability to lead staff, manage safeguarding and oversee person-centred support.

Your role

You will report directly to the Director and take responsibility for:

* Care quality and compliance: audits, inspection readiness, improvement plans and safe service delivery.

* Team leadership: recruitment, rotas, supervision, appraisals and training.

* Person-centred support: care planning, risk management and effective communication for people with varied communication needs.

* Service management: referrals, occupancy, budgets and relationships with families and professionals.

The support around you

* An experienced Senior Support Worker at each site.

* Approximately 28 staff, including part-time colleagues.

* Direct access to the Director.

* An office at each service.

* Sites approximately 15 minutes apart by car, with no routine requirement to visit both on the same day.

Working arrangements

This is an on-site role covering both services. You must be able to commute reliably to both locations. A full driving licence is preferred.

The role includes out-of-hours on-call responsibilities and occasional evening or weekend working.

Apply

An early start is preferred, with notice periods considered.

Send your CV, highlighting your CQC registered management experience, relevant care settings and notice period.

The process begins with an informal telephone conversation, followed by a face-to-face interview for shortlisted candidates.
