The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a counselling graduate or currently studying counselling/psychology or a related field

Have a genuine interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs

Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional resilience

Be a positive role model with strong interpersonal skills

Have the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable students

Be eager to gain practical experience within educational settings

Key Responsibilities:

Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs

Supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing

Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation

Encouraging engagement in learning and personal development

Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
