Core Subjects Tutor - Chester
Location: Chester, Cheshire
Hours: 5-15 hours per week

Prospero Teaching is recruiting a versatile Core Subjects Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to learners across Chester. The successful candidate will support pupils in developing essential academic skills, rebuilding confidence and making progress towards their individual educational targets.
The Role:
Deliver tailored tuition in English and/or Mathematics, with additional core subjects where appropriate.
Assess learners strengths and identify areas for development.
Plan engaging sessions that address individual learning gaps.
Support pupils who have experienced disrupted education or disengagement.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet different learning needs and abilities.
Monitor progress and provide feedback on outcomes.
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
QTS, PGCE or an equivalent relevant teaching qualification is desirable.
Good subject knowledge in one or more core subjects.
Experience teaching or tutoring school-aged learners.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND or additional learning needs is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and a learner-centred approach.
To be eligible for this role, the tutor must:
Hold the right to work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
Provide two professional references, including child-related references.
