Full job description

We are seeking compassionate, experienced Support Workers/Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred support within the home of a young teenage boy with ADHD and a learning disability.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide consistent supervision at home and in the community

* Support client's communication, emotional regulation, and personal care development.

* Plan and deliver calm, structured, and sensory-friendly activities.

* Ensure client’s safety while encouraging participation in age-appropriate and community activities.

* Provide respite and support to the family, liaising with professionals as needed.

Requirements:

* At least 6 months recent care experience.

* Control and restraint or PMVA trained.

* Experience with children with autism, sensory needs, and complex behaviours.

* Training in trauma-informed, sensory-aware care preferred.

* Patient, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviours safely.
