Contract Multi-skilled Engineer

£38 phour - Outside IR35

My client who are a very successful food manufacturer, are seeking a number of Multi Skilled Engineer contractors to join their engineering team for an intial 3/6 months.

They require both electrical bias and mechanical bias engineers.

Typical responsibilities include –

* Maintain and enhance the performance of plant and equipment (both reactive and PPM)

* Establishing root cause analysis (RCA) throughout the factory

* Both short and long term fixes across all breakdowns

* Planned Preventive maintenance, complete all allocated P.M.’s in the set time frame

* Providing a high quality engineering service to both engineering and production teams

* Ensure engineering downtime is accurately logged, monitor repair times, and find new methods / procedures to reduce these

* Training Production staff

The ideal candidate will be –

* An engineer with a background in the food, FMCG or manufacturing industry, with good experience of carrying out PPMs

* Ideally multiskilled

* Strong mechanical understanding and appreciation

* A passion for reliability / improvements. Experience in this field is not a necessity as full training is offered, what is required is an interest to develop in the field

* Experience with CMMS
