Are you an experienced Contract Manager with a strong commercial background and experience working with NHS customers, healthcare, medical devices or managed services?
We are looking for a commercially focused Contract Manager to take ownership of the negotiation, execution, governance and ongoing management of complex commercial and Managed Service Contracts across a diagnostic portfolio.
This is a key role, working closely with customers, suppliers, legal teams, sales and internal stakeholders to ensure contracts are commercially robust, effectively managed and delivered in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs and contractual obligations.
You'll have the opportunity to play a key role in major NHS tenders, contract negotiations, mobilisation, renewals and ongoing contract performance, helping to
deliver solutions that support laboratories and healthcare services across the UK and Ireland.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the negotiation and execution of commercial contracts with NHS, private sector and Managed Service customers
* Managing contracts with Partner Suppliers and multi-supplier Managed Service providers
* Supporting major NHS tenders and competitive procurement processes
* Working with internal and external legal teams to negotiate contractual terms, KPIs and commercial agreements
* Ensuring compliance with relevant UK public procurement legislation, including PCR 2015 and the Procurement Act 2023
* Managing contract performance following implementation, including SLAs, KPIs, service credits and contractual obligations
* Identifying, assessing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
* Supporting Sales and Business Development teams with tender responses, customer presentations and commercial negotiations
* Managing contract renewals, amendments and termination where required
* Maintaining accurate contract information across CLMS, CRM and SAP
* Building strong, trusted relationships with NHS customers, suppliers, partners and internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced Contract Manager who is commercially confident, highly organised and comfortable negotiating complex agreements.
You'll ideally have:
* Proven experience in Contract Management, particularly negotiating and managing commercial contracts
* Experience working with NHS customers and/or public sector procurement
* Strong understanding of contract law, procurement processes and contractual risk
* Experience managing SLAs, KPIs, service credits and contract performance
* Experience negotiating with suppliers, partners and multiple stakeholders
* Strong commercial awareness, including experience interpreting pricing models and financial schedules
* Experience supporting Sales/Business Development and tender processes
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines
* A collaborative, customer-focused approach
* Degree-level education or equivalent business qualification
* A full UK driving licence
Desirable
Experience within IVD diagnostics, medical devices, laboratory technology or another regulated healthcare environment would be highly advantageous.
A Foundation Certificate in Commercial & Contract Management (WorldCC or equivalent) would also be beneficial.
