Construction Procurement Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Procurement Manager for an interim assignment of up to 12 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a major capital investment programme for a local authority.
With an estimated £70m capital programme this year, we need procurement professionals to help secure a robust supply chain for a wide range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end procurement process for construction projects, from tender document preparation to contract execution.
* Oversee tendering activities across a range of projects (above and below PA23 thresholds), including open, restricted, and framework call-off tenders.
* Work closely with property and procurement teams to develop procurement strategies and pipeline programmes.
* Produce approval reports and ensure compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified procurement professional (CIPS and/or TPP essential).
* Proven experience in public sector procurement, ideally within local government.
* Knowledge of the construction industry and capital works procurement highly advantageous.
* Hands-on, operational approach with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to travel to site regularly and start at short notice.
