Construction Paralegal (3+ Years' Experience)

London (City)

If you're a Paralegal with experience in Construction or Projects, you'll know how valuable it is to be close to the work rather than sitting on the sidelines.

If your current role feels heavily process-driven, with limited exposure to the legal and commercial side of matters, this is an opportunity to step into something more involved.

I'm working with a well-regarded City law firm looking to bring in an experienced Construction Paralegal to support their busy and growing team.

The Role

You'll be supporting on a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters, including:

Assisting on construction disputes (adjudication, litigation support)

Supporting on contract drafting and amendments (JCT, NEC)

Document review and bundle preparation

Managing case files and supporting fee earners on live matters

Liaising with clients, experts, and internal teams

You'll gain exposure to a range of projects across sectors including commercial, residential, and infrastructure.

Why this role stands out

High-quality City firm work with strong client exposure

Opportunity to develop across both contentious and non-contentious matters

Close working relationship with experienced Associates and Partners

Clear progression opportunities, including potential route to qualification

Competitive London salary

What they're looking for

Minimum 3 years' Paralegal experience, ideally within Construction

Familiarity with construction contracts (JCT/NEC beneficial)

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

A genuine interest in Construction law

The reality

This will suit someone who wants to move into a role where they're more involved in the substance of matters, not just supporting from the background.

If you're open to a confidential conversation, I'm happy to run through the role in more detail and how it compares to your current position
