The Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the delivery team on a major live‑environment healthcare project. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of MEP construction activities. You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the on-site installation team, including subcontractors
Ensure all works meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
Oversee construction planning, logistics, and resource coordination
Support design, engineering, and procurement handovers into construction
Monitor progress, productivity, and performance against programme
Drive best practice, continuous improvement, and a positive site culture
Support commissioning, handover, and project close‑out activities
Build strong relationships with project stakeholders
Requirements
Proven experience managing construction delivery on large MEP or complex building services projects
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics, and live‑environment working
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with confidence to challenge and improve processes
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering a positive site experience
Relevant construction qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND, SMSTS, CSCS/ECS, or equivalent)
