The Role
As Construction Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing major capital projects, ensuring construction activities are carried out safely and in line with operational, environmental, and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing technical expertise in wastewater treatment processes to ensure construction activities protect live operational environments.
Ensuring environmental compliance across asset design and construction delivery.
Monitoring contractor performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Managing specialist consultants and subject matter experts to deliver robust construction assurance across your project portfolio.
Working closely with Asset Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure alignment and effective knowledge sharing.
Supporting contractor and consultant assessment, selection, and appointment processes.
Leading operational integration activities to ensure project deliverables are clearly defined, agreed, and achievable.
Reviewing and approving key documentation, including Project Delivery Plans, Commissioning Plans, and test documentation.
Location & Working Pattern

Based within the East London region, supporting major wastewater treatment sites.
Travel required across the wider regional portfolio.
Approximately 4 days per week on site, depending on project requirements.
36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
£5,800 annual car allowance included.
About You
Essential:

Engineering degree or equivalent experience in construction or engineering delivery.
Strong technical understanding of wastewater treatment works design, construction, and operations — or significant experience within another complex process industry.
Ability to conduct detailed technical reviews of project information.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
Knowledge of quality and performance management principles.
