Complex Needs Outreach Tutor Skelmersdale (January 2026)

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Complex Needs Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people with complex additional needs who are not currently accessing mainstream education.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will plan and deliver highly personalised learning sessions focused on building confidence, engagement, and routine. Tuition will typically cover core subjects such as English and Maths, alongside life skills where appropriate. Many learners have significant additional needs and may require full adult support, including the use of wheelchairs.

This role is ideal for a tutor who is passionate about inclusive education and is confident adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs. Experience using alternative communication methods such as Makaton or PECS would be highly beneficial.

You will play a key role in reintroducing structure and routine into the students day, supporting both academic progress and personal development. Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor progress and provide ongoing support.
