Paediatric Complex Care Worker

Location: Milton Keynes

Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends (flexible)

About the Role

We are looking for dedicated and experienced Paediatric Complex Care Workers to support a child with complex medical needs in their family home. This is a rewarding role where you will provide consistent, high-quality care that enables the child to stay safe, comfortable, and as independent as possible.

You will be supporting a paediatric client who requires:

CPAP and BiPAP respiratory support

*

Oxygen therapy and monitoring

*

Oral and nasal suctioning

*

PEG or NG feeding

*

Seizure management

*

Support with mobility, positioning, and daily routines

*

Emotional reassurance, play, and developmental support

Full training, competencies, and ongoing clinical supervision will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

*

Deliver safe, child-centred care according to the individual care plan

*

Manage respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen) confidently

*

Carry out suctioning procedures safely and sensitively

*

Support feeding routines and nutrition requirements

*

Engage the child in play, communication, and developmental activities

*

Build positive, trusting relationships with the child and family

*

Keep accurate, detailed records and communicate any changes promptly

*

Maintain excellent safeguarding and clinical governance standards

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Experience supporting children with complex medical or respiratory needs

*

Confidence with CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen therapy, and suctioning

*

A nurturing, patient, and child-focused approach

*

Strong communication skills and the ability to reassure both child and family

*

The ability to remain calm and professional in clinical situations

*

A valid Right to Work in the UK

Desirable (not essential):

*

NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or Children’s Care

*

Experience working with paediatric clients in community or hospital settings
