We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Care Manager to join our nursing and residential care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional residential and nursing care, managing the care team, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance and person-centred care for all residents.
Location: Surrey
Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, 1 late per week (12pm - 8:30pm), and 1/4 weekend
Days: Monday - Friday
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Duties and responsibilities:
Deliver and oversee high-quality residential and nursing care for all residents, directly managing Care Supervisors and Care Assistants
Maintain clinical oversight of all resident nursing requirements and collaborate with Clinical Services Manager on complex care needs
Co-ordinate the resident assessment process, ensuring accurate person-centred care plans that reflect individual needs and preferences
Lead and develop the care team through regular supervisions, one-to-ones, yearly reviews, and performance management
Ensure full compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards across all five domains: Caring, Safe, Effective, Responsive, and Well-Led
Implement robust medication management systems, including auditing, staff training, and working with GPs on medication reviews
Complete clinical and environmental audits according to the annual compliance programme and develop action plans where required
Act as an advocate for residents, maintaining their best interests in relation to safeguarding, mental capacity, and deprivation of liberty
Manage day-to-day supervisory issues including absence management, return to work interviews, and formal action where appropriate
Handle concerns and complaints from residents and families in a collaborative, prompt, and appropriate manner
Support infection control measures and participate in steering groups for medication, falls prevention, and other clinical areas
Work shifts in response to business needs and be available on-call outside of shift hoursSkills and experience:
Registered RGN with current NMC registration
Evidence of ongoing professional development within elderly care or appropriate discipline
