We are currently recruiting for a hardworking and reliable Cleaner to join a busy manufacturing site in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, and site presentation. The role offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled cleaning and housekeeping duties across production areas, offices, warehouses, stores, welfare facilities, and communal areas.
Sweep, vacuum, wash surfaces, remove waste, and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the site.
Clean and replenish welfare facilities including toilets, showers, changing rooms, sinks, and hygiene stations.
Operate cleaning equipment safely, including industrial vacuums and powered cleaning machines.
Empty waste bins and support correct waste segregation and environmental practices.
Assist with site facilities duties, including restocking supplies, laundry cover, window cleaning, and general site maintenance tasks.
Support site presentation through external maintenance activities such as car park upkeep, grass cutting, and hedge trimming (where trained).
Follow all health, safety, environmental, and hygiene procedures, reporting any hazards, defects, or housekeeping concerns promptly.
Maintain high housekeeping standards and support contamination control within a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
Previous cleaning or facilities experience is desirable, ideally within an industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, or commercial environment.
Comfortable using cleaning equipment and machinery.
Able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Reliable, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Awareness of health and safety procedures in the workplace.
