Job Title: Children Support Worker

Job Summary:
A Children Support Worker provides care, emotional support, and practical assistance to children and young people who may have learning disabilities, physical disabilities, emotional difficulties, or challenging behaviour. The role focuses on promoting independence, safeguarding, and overall well-being in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day care and supervision to children in residential or supported living settings.

Support children with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation where required.

Promote emotional well-being and build positive, trusting relationships.

*

Encourage participation in educational, recreational, and social activities.

*

Support children with behavioural management plans and individual care plans.

*

Safeguard children by following child protection policies and reporting concerns immediately.

*

Maintain accurate records, daily logs, and incident reports.

*

Work collaboratively with social workers, families, healthcare professionals, and other team members.

*

Support children in developing life skills and independence.

*

Attend team meetings and training sessions as required
