We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our team, delivering high-quality meals within a supportive care environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by preparing nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for adults with a wide range of support needs, including dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and complex physical health needs.
* Work closely with staff to ensure meals align with individual care and support plans
Stock & Kitchen Management:
* Order food and supplies within budget, monitoring stock levels to minimise waste
* Maintain accurate records (stock rotation, temperature logs, due diligence checks)
* Check deliveries and ensure safe, compliant storage of all food items
Food Safety & Hygiene:
* Maintain exceptional cleanliness across all kitchen areas and equipment
* Follow Safer Food, Better Business guidelines and food hygiene legislation
* Carry out and record routine checks (temperatures, cleaning schedules, hazard reports)
* Ensure safe use of equipment and report faults promptly
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Chef, ideally within a care or community setting
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
* Ability to cater for a range of dietary needs
* Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
* A caring and compassionate approach
