CHEF / COOK – CARE HOME SETTING
DBS CHECK REQUIRED
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef/Cook to join our care home team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, home-style meals while making a real difference in residents’ daily lives.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs
*
Cater for special diets (e.g. diabetic, low-sodium, texture-modified diets)
*
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety
*
Manage stock control and kitchen cleanliness
*
Work closely with care staff to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met
Requirements:
*
Previous experience as a Chef/Cook (care home or similar setting preferred)
*
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
*
Ability to cater for specialist dietary requirements
*
Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
*
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
