Are you a passionate Chef looking for a rewarding role in a unique residential setting?
We are seeking an experienced Chef to join a catering team at a busy residential school activity centre. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your culinary skills with a role that helps create memorable experiences for children and young people.
Working within a fast-paced hospitality environment, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals whilst maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for large groups
*
Ensure full compliance with food safety, allergen management and HACCP procedures
*
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and kitchen hygiene
*
Support stock management, food ordering and waste control initiatives
*
Assist in the supervision and development of kitchen team members
*
Cater for a variety of dietary and medical requirements
*
Ensure food presentation and service standards remain consistently high
*
Support the wider operation of the residential centre when required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
*
Previous experience working in a high-volume catering environment
*
Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering
*
Strong knowledge of allergen management and food safety procedures
*
Excellent customer service skills
*
Strong organisational and time management abilities
*
Good IT skills, including email and basic Microsoft Office applications
*
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable:
*
Experience working with children and young people
*
Previous supervisory experience within a catering environment
*
Experience in a residential, education or hospitality setting
Additional Requirements
*
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
*
Full UK driving licence preferred due to the location of the centre
*
Flexibility to support the needs of a residential operation
