Group Chartered Accountant – Professional Services Group – Nationwide
We’re partnering with a well-established professional services Group seeking a Chartered Accountant to lead financial management, reporting, and governance across multiple companies.
This is an excellent opportunity to drive Group-wide finance operations, provide robust insight to Directors, and strengthen corporate governance while supporting growth and cross-business integration.
The Role
As Group Chartered Accountant, you will oversee financial leadership, reporting, and compliance, ensuring consistent processes across all businesses. You will manage external financial relationships, coordinate audits, and provide strategic insight to support decision-making across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead Group-wide financial governance and implement consistent policies, internal controls, and compliance systems
✅ Oversee risk management frameworks, cashflow, and internal assurance
✅ Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions
✅ Coordinate audits across Group entities and manage external auditor relationships
✅ Support finance teams with year-end accounts, statutory returns, and budgets
✅ Provide insight for commercial bids, pricing strategies, and business cases
✅ Support financial due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and financing arrangements
✅ Represent the Group to external finance bodies (lenders, auditors, NFU Finance Department)
About You
✔ Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA) with experience across multi-entity professional services businesses
✔ Proven expertise in financial reporting, governance, and compliance
✔ Strong analytical and advisory skills, providing insight to Directors and operational teams
✔ Experience coordinating audits, budgets, and cross-business financial processes
✔ Confident influencing at a senior level and working across multiple teams

Office Location
The company has offices across the UK. This role can be based out of Preston, Manchester, Bury St Edmunds, Reading, or Exeter.

Package:
✅ Salary: £55,000–£75,000 depending on experience and additional skills
