Location: Royston, SG8
Hours: 10:30am – 3:00pm
Monday to Friday – School Hours
Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to support our client within a busy school environment in Royston.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time, daytime hours within a friendly catering team.
The Role
As a School Catering Assistant, your duties may include:
Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch periods
Serving pupils and staff in a friendly and professional manner
Clearing tables and maintaining dining areas
Washing up and general kitchen duties
Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and tidy
Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
Assisting with general catering duties as required
What We're Looking For
Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience would be advantageous
A reliable and hardworking approach
Good communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable working within a busy school environment
You must hold a valid DBS due to working within a school setting
The working hours are 10:30am until 3:00pm, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for work around school hours.
This is an ad hoc position, with shifts offered based on our clients’ requirements. We are looking to build a pool of reliable Catering Assistants who are available to cover occasional & short-notice shifts across local school / catering environments. Hours and availability may vary from week to week, so this role would suit someone looking for flexible, additional work rather than guaranteed weekly hours.
