Supply Heroes are currently recruiting on behalf of a friendly and well-established school in the Quinton (B32) area for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to join their site team as soon as possible.
This is a key role within the school, responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and secure environment for pupils, staff and visitors. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running and upkeep of the school site, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Opening and locking the school premises daily
* Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
* Ensuring the school grounds are safe, tidy and well-maintained
* Supporting with health and safety checks and procedures
* Assisting with room setups for school events and activities
* Liaising with contractors and reporting site issues where necessary
* Maintaining security of the building and responding to site-related concerns
Requirements
* Previous caretaking, site maintenance or facilities experience preferred
* Basic DIY and maintenance skills
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures
* Ability to work independently and use initiative
* Reliable, punctual and trustworthy approach
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
