A highly regarded specialist SEN school in High Barnet is seeking a passionate and proactive Careers Leader to join their team from September on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.
This is a unique opportunity to take a strategic and impactful role within a supportive school that specialises in working with students with autism and additional needs. The Role:

Lead and develop the school’s careers programme, tailored to the needs of students with SEN and autism
Deliver engaging and accessible careers education, including employability skills, pathways, and transition planning
Build strong links with colleges, training providers, employers, and external agencies
Organise work experience opportunities, encounters, and meaningful real-world learning
Track and monitor student progression, ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks
Support students and families with post-16/19 transition planningThe Ideal Candidate:

Experience in careers education, guidance, or a related role (teaching background desirable)
Strong understanding of SEN, particularly autism, and the challenges around transition into adulthood
Knowledge of careers frameworks such as the Gatsby Benchmarks
Excellent communication and organisational skills
