Workforce Personnel are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to support a variety of residential and nursing homes in Flitwick and surrounding areas.

This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of needs, including elderly care, dementia, mental health, and learning disabilities. You will play an important role in enhancing residents’ quality of life through personal care, companionship, emotional support, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Care Assistant, your duties may include:

* Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support

* Supporting with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration

* Providing companionship, emotional support, and reassurance

* Assisting with medication support in line with care plans and policies

* Monitoring and reporting any changes in health, wellbeing, or behaviour

* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records

* Ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

* Encouraging residents to participate in social, recreational, and daily living activities

* Working closely with colleagues and care home staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* 6–12 months’ UK care experience (essential)

* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Strong written and spoken English and the ability to follow care plans and instructions

* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, earlies, and lates

* An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

* Willingness to complete face-to-face mandatory training

* The ability to provide satisfactory references
