About the Role

We're currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Caretaker to join a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) based in Lambeth.

This role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude, and enjoys helping keep housing sites clean, safe, and well maintained. You'll be supporting residents and ensuring communal areas, grounds, and facilities are presented to a high standard.

This is a hands-on role that requires good communication, a proactive approach, and attention to detail - perfect for someone who enjoys working independently but can also build good relationships with residents and the wider housing team.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general cleaning, caretaking, and light maintenance tasks across housing sites.

Ensure all communal areas, bin stores, and pathways are kept clean, safe, and free from hazards.

Report and record any repairs, health & safety issues, or anti-social behaviour to management.

Carry out minor repairs, painting, or basic DIY as required.

Assist residents and contractors on-site, ensuring smooth access and good communication.

Maintain stock of cleaning materials and equipment, ensuring safe use and storage.

Support compliance checks and weekly inspections as needed.

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who is friendly, approachable, and reliable. You'll take pride in your work and be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience as a Caretaker, Cleaner, Facilities Assistant, or similar.

Good practical skills with basic DIY and maintenance.

Excellent communication and people skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Good attitude, attention to detail, and pride in keeping spaces clean and presentable.

Willingness to work the occasional Saturday shift (2 hours, once a month).
