Job Title: Care Placement Coordinator
Location: choice of three locations Priory House, Bedfordshire; Gemini House, Cambridgeshire or The Forum, Hemel Hempstead
Hours: full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:00
Pay and duration: £15.25 per hour, 3 months with possible extension

We're looking for a Care / Brokerage Placement Assistant to join our team and help coordinate care placements for individuals who need support.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the NHS while developing skills in coordination, administration, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management.
What you'll be doing
No two days will be exactly the same. Your responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating with care providers and healthcare professionals to help identify suitable care placements.
* Communicating with patients and their families in a professional, compassionate and reassuring way.
* Supporting discussions with care providers around placement costs.
* Maintaining accurate funding information, records and administrative documentation.
* Managing sensitive or challenging conversations with confidence and professionalism.
* Keeping track of multiple requests and priorities to make sure work is completed on time.
* Working closely with colleagues and external partners to help achieve positive outcomes for individuals.
You'll work with care providers, hospitals, healthcare professionals, patients and their families to help find appropriate care placements and ensure the associated administration and funding information is accurate and up to date.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, confident and proactive, and who enjoys working with a wide range of people.
You'll need to be able to:
* Communicate clearly and professionally, including when conversations are challenging.
* Build positive relationships with different stakeholders.
* Organise your workload and manage competing priorities.
* Work accurately with financial information and administrative processes.
* Handle sensitive information and conversations with discretion and compassion.
* Work independently while also being a supportive team player.
* Take initiative and follow tasks through to completion.
You may have experience in healthcare, administration, customer service, finance, social care or another environment where you've had to communicate with different people and manage competing priorities.
You'll also need either a vocational Level 3 qualification or at least 2 years' relevant experience.
