We are seeking an experienced and driven Care Manager to support the operational management and development of supported living services supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and complex needs within the community.

This is a key operational role requiring strong leadership, excellent understanding of CQC regulations and the ability to maintain high standards of care, compliance and service quality across supported living settings.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team to ensure people are supported to live as independently as possible while receiving safe, person-centred and outcome-focused care.

The Care Manager must have excellent understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and the current CQC assessment framework

Purpose of the Role

To support the day-to-day operational management of supported living services, ensuring the service remains fully compliant, inspection-ready and focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred support.

The Care Manager will promote a culture of independence, dignity, inclusion and positive risk-taking while supporting strong governance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

CQC Compliance and Governance

Support the Registered Manager in ensuring the service operates in full compliance with CQC regulations, including the fundamental standards and all relevant regulated activity requirements.

Assist in maintaining effective governance systems in line with Regulation 17, including:

* Audits

* Quality assurance processes

* Risk monitoring

* Action plans

* Continuous improvement frameworks

Support the service in preparing for CQC assessments under the current framework, including:

* Safe

* Effective

* Caring

* Responsive

* Well-led

Maintain evidence across CQC evidence categories, including:

* People’s experiences

* Staff feedback

* Partner feedback

* Observation

* Processes

* Outcomes

Support with statutory notifications, safeguarding reporting and compliance monitoring where required.

Operational Management

Support the day-to-day running of supported living services, ensuring high-quality support is delivered consistently.

Ensure support plans, risk assessments and behavioural support plans are person-centred, outcome-focused and regularly reviewed.

Support individuals to maximise independence, choice and community integration.

Assist with rota management, staffing allocation and continuity of care.

Monitor incidents, accidents, complaints and safeguarding matters, ensuring issues are escalated appropriately and lessons learned are embedded into practice.

Quality Assurance and Audits

Conduct and support regular audits covering:

* Care and support plans

* Medication management

* Safeguarding

* Staff files

* Training compliance

* Health and safety

* Incident reporting

Support the implementation and monitoring of action plans following audits and inspections.

Ensure records and governance evidence are accurate and inspection-ready.
