About the Role
As Care Home Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of the home — overseeing day-to-day operations while ensuring residents receive outstanding, person-centred care every single day.
You’ll be:
* The Registered Manager with the CQC, confidently navigating legislation and compliance
* Leading, inspiring, and empowering a skilled care team
* Balancing exceptional care standards with commercial success
* Creating a home that families trust and staff are proud to work in
* Ideally you will hold an Active NMC Pin, but is not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the care home team with warmth, clarity, and purpose
* Recruiting, training, motivating, and retaining a high-performing care workforce
* Ensuring the home meets (and exceeds!) all CQC and regulatory standards
* Managing budgets, occupancy levels, and financial performance
* Developing and delivering a marketing strategy to keep the home thriving
* Building strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholders
* Overseeing records, audits, and administrative systems
* Monitoring performance, identifying improvements, and driving positive change
* Managing risks effectively to maintain a safe, secure environment for all
About You
You’re a confident leader who blends commercial awareness with genuine compassion.
You will:
* Have proven experience managing a nursing or residential care home in the UK
* Possess strong knowledge of CQC standards, with a track record of striving for Outstanding
* Be an excellent communicator who builds trust and positive relationships effortlessly
* Have solid marketing and business skills within the private care sector
* Be passionate about delivering exceptional person-centred care
Nice to have (but not essential):
* NMC Registered Nurse status with UK post-registration experience
