Care Home Manager – Residential (Elderly & Dementia Care)
Location: North London (N12)
Salary: £40,000 per year + Bonuses

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Care Home Manager to lead a residential care home in North London, supporting up to 23 residents specialising in elderly and dementia care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up into a leadership role within a CQC-rated ‘Good’ service, supported by a dedicated off-site operations team.

Role Overview

As Care Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

You will lead and develop your team, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the service.

Key Responsibilities

Safe

-Safeguard residents from harm and ensure safe care practices

-Oversee medication management and risk assessments

-Ensure compliance with DoLS and safeguarding procedures

-Conduct safety checks (fire, legionella, etc.)

Effective

-Ensure residents’ healthcare and nutritional needs are met

-Support staff development through supervision and training

Caring

-Promote dignity, respect, and person-centred care-

-Build strong relationships with residents and families

Responsive

-Review and update care plans

-Respond to changing needs and feedback

Well-Led

-Lead staff and resident meetings

-Promote a positive, transparent culture

-Drive continuous improvement and service quality

Requirements

-NVQ Level 5 / RMA / QCF Level 5 (completed or working towards)

-Experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager

-Minimum 2 years’ experience within residential care management

-Strong knowledge of CQC regulations

-Experience in elderly and dementia care (essential)

-Excellent leadership and communication skills

-IT literate (care systems, rostering, medication records)

Additional Information
