We are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected franchise-approved car dealership in Cardiff for the position of Car Sales Manager. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for individuals with a proven track record in automotive sales management within a franchise environment. The successful individual will be responsible for leading a dedicated sales team to achieve exceptional sales results and customer satisfaction.
Benefits of the Car Sales Manager:
Basic salary of £35,000 per annum
Uncapped on-target earnings exceeding £75,000 annually, linked to sales performance
Personal Electric Vehicle (EV) company car
22 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, increasing to up to 33 days with service
Scheduled day off in the week and every other weekend off
Various internal benefits including staff purchase discounts
Opportunity to lead and shape a successful sales team within a well-established dealershipDuties of the Car Sales Manager:
Oversee the activities of the new and used vehicle sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
Formulate and implement strategies to optimise profitability from vehicle sales, finance, insurance, and accessories
Manage vehicle purchasing, stock control, and forecourt operations
Drive customer satisfaction and retention through effective team leadership and personal example
Collaborate with senior management to develop policies and procedures that enhance dealership performance
Maintain high standards of process efficiency and cost control within the sales department
Act as a role model for dealership standards and brand representation, ensuring excellent customer experienceRequirements of the Car Sales Manager:
Proven management experience within a franchise-approved car dealership
Successful track record in vehicle sales management, ideally within a busy or medium to large-sized dealership
Strong background in Finance & Insurance (F&I)
Demonstrable leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and development
Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
