The Bakery Supervisor will support the Bakery Manager in the day-to-day running of the production bakery. This role involves supervising and motivating members of the production team, ensuring baked goods are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Bakery Supervisor will be hands-on in production while overseeing workflows, quality, and hygiene.

Production & Quality

Supervise daily bakery production to ensure products are made to specification and quality standards

Support the team in producing consistent, high-quality baked goods

Carry out regular quality checks on products during and after production

Ensure recipes, portion control, and presentation standards are followed
Team Supervision

Oversee and support members of the production team during shifts

Allocate tasks and ensure production targets are met
*
Provide guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to team members

Promote a positive, supportive, and productive team environment
Health, Safety & Hygiene

Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across the bakery

Support allergen controls, traceability, and due diligence records

Report any issues, risks, or maintenance needs to the Bakery Manager
Operational Support

Assist with production planning to meet customer orders and deadlines
*
Help manage stock levels of ingredients and report shortages
*
Support continuous improvement in processes, efficiency, and waste reduction

Step in for the Bakery Manager when required
Skills & Experience
Essential
*
Previous experience in a bakery or food production environment
*
Experience supervising or leading a small team
*
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
*
experience working with NPD teams and realeasing new products
*
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment
